Frequently Asked Questions

Chefs are encouraged to provide 32 oz servings for a single order in general, however some serving sizes may be by count which are described in dish details.

Safety is Yumeaz’s top priority. Chefs at Yumeaz go through onboarding and provide proof of food safety training. We also do periodic electronic inspections of kitchens for verified chefs. Please note that verification can take time and some chefs may be testing out the market potential before committing fully. They still complete the onboarding process but may not have completed the other steps and would not have green check on their profile. Chefs are required and expected to follow all applicable local, State and Federal laws (including cooking from permissible kitchens).

You will receive notifications when your dish is ready for pick up so make sure that your notifications are enabled.

For plan ahead orders, you may cancel up to 24 hours in advance for full refund. For immediate pick up/delivery order, cancellation is possible without a refund.

Yumeaz does not have any substantial cost to the customer. There is a small fee of 1% per order.

Anyone can sign up to be a chef through our chef app (link). You will get links to onboarding and training once you sign up and will be expected to complete these. In order to be “verified”, you will need to submit proof of food safety training and complete an electronic inspection.

For chefs, Yumeaz provides a dedicated platform for selling food and share nutritional information for their creations, and makes it easier to develop your business by having visibility to available options in your location, assistance with tracking sales, makes it easy to get food safety training, calculate earnings and taxes if applicable, as well as expand your customer base.
